Has Shipbuilding Capacity Become a Strategic Geopolitical Asset?

Focus:  Shipbuilding capacity as a pillar of industrial competitiveness, strategic autonomy, and maritime security: starting from strategic independence and naval shipbuilding, how industrial policy, investment, and innovation can strengthen Europe’s capacity to design and build the vessels of the future.

On stage:  An opening address from a senior naval or defense figure or the European Commission’s defense industry directorate, introductory remarks by the CEO of a classification society, a keynote by the CEO of Europe’s largest shipbuilding group, and a panel with the United States ambassador to Italy, a senior representative of the Italian Navy (invited), and European naval and commercial shipbuilders (to be confirmed).
