Focus: Protecting the Mediterranean requires science, policy, finance, and industry to move together: the sea-climate nexus, marine protected areas and ecosystem restoration, action on pollution, and the investment and innovation needed for a regenerative blue economy in the basin. A keynote opens the block and a panel of research institutes follows; the block also introduces the afternoon session hosted by the MSC Foundation, Regeneration of the Mediterranean Sea (panel composition being finalized).
On stage: A keynote by the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, founder of a leading international foundation dedicated to ocean protection (or by the president of the world’s largest conservation network, or by the Foundation’s Vice-Chairman and CEO), followed by a panel of Italian public research institutes such as ENEA and CNR (to be confirmed).
